T-Mobile G2 to have 800MHz processor

2 September 2010 One Comment

The long-heralded T-Mobile G2, successor to the G1, had its full specs released on the T-Mobile scoop website.

The major news is that it will pack a 800MHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor as opposed to the rumored 1GHz Snapdragon. However, it will run a stock version of Froyo, and offer full Flash 10.1 support. It will also be one of the first phones to support the HSPA+ network, bringing its users speeds higher than ever before.

Stock Froyo ensures that there will be no bloatware, and allow full customization and rooting. Despite its slightly underpowered processor, the G2 will be capable of competing among the upper echelons of smartphones.

It certainly looks good, and its slide-out keyboard will be a huge plus to those in the market for a speedy business phone.
